There is a fairly good correlation between the number of times a question like yours is asked, and the helpfulness of answers they are likely to receive. What Marex was asking you was (given his recent posting history) almost certainly referring to the text "Read the **** Readmes" written in bold across the main page.
In lieu of an official message that no one would bother reading either, let me mention a few things.
1) *Before* you ask a question, *look* to see if it has been asked before - especially if it's something like yours, that would likely be a common one. Remember, Google Is Your Friend.
2) This doesn't apply to you, but using proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling, as well as being professional, goes a long way. If you sound like a n00b, you will be treated like one.
3) If you want help, you need to give us specifics. From your question, we don't even know what OS/distro your computer is running. Also, if you've tried something already, tell us - that saves a lot of time, and your results (even failed) often help narrow things down.
4) Know your limits. If something sounds complicated, it probably is. While people are usually quite willing to help you with things, realize that they can't teach you things from the ground up. Questions like "how do I do programming?" (purposely exaggerated, but probably posted somewhere) not only cannot reasonably be answered, but frustrate everyone else.
