Any news on access to the NVFS file system under Linux? For example, storing the kernel, initrd, and rootfs in the NVFS. Allowing the removal of SD cards during Linux operation.

So how do I start installing the bootloader or w/e?
hi, thanks for the great job
hi, thanks for the great job with this.
I have been searching but I can't find a way to connect to a network with bluetooth, I thought I could do it from the GUI but I couldn't it says that it have terminated(it crashes) or it says "Can't connect RFCOMM socket: connection refused. Finished with result 0."
I'm using the last TX release (build on may 5 2008) and bluesoleil manager in winXP.
thanks in advance.
hi, thanks for all the job
hi, thanks for all the job you do.
I use the testing kernels from Miska and have some problems with it so I have 2 questions (probably noob one) :
1) When under linux my battery is drain in a few minutes without doing anything special, is it normal ? Under palm Os I've tested it playing a 90 minutes movie with TCPMP and playing mp3 simultaneously using pTunes. and my TX stopped to play after 3 hours (with the screen of course always switched on and sound produced by a headset).
2) what are the differences between the vanilia kernel and the hackndev-hires for exemple (exept the support for hires on tx of course ;-) ) ?

2) hackndev kernel is 2.6.21
2) hackndev kernel is 2.6.21 version and quite a lot of things works. Vanila is 2.6.27 and only fewer things are supported. I think that there is no bluetooth support in vanila and standby mode doesn't work either.
1) That's strange. Usual problems is that people forgot to turn off wifi in PalmOS and then they wonder why their battery is drain so fast even with Palm turned off. I don't have any benchmark, but I think my Palm can run linux for some hours, definitely not only few minutes. Got no idea what can be wrong.
Mmm, I rarely activate WiFi
Mmm, I rarely activate WiFi on my palm (as most of the network around me use WPA-2, ...) so don't think that's the point. I have tried to use WiFi on my palm under Linux but never succeed even with the recent vanillia kernels. So, don't activate it under palm.
Another question :
Am I right : Vanillia kernel supports WiFi (even if I never succed to have it up and running) and not bluetooth and hires one support bluetooth and not wifi ?
Well, kernels on testing
Well, kernels on testing page are snapshot of current state. WiFi was kind of working in vanilla until some time ago. During the time, something has broke so even that little bit of funcionality is broken in current testing vanilla too. I'll try to fix it soon. Old hackndev kernel supports Bluetooth and standby. Bluetooth has to be turned off in PalmOS first if you want to use it in Linux.
Thanks for your various
Thanks for your various answer Miska. As I understand vanilla kernel is not very interresting by now. So I will return on the old hackndev kernel which has always been more suitable for me.
