Question about best Palm for me

Hi All!
I have a project where I need to embedded a linux into a device, and I wanted to know the possibility for a palm.
Questions:
* I need that when I boot my system, it boot in linux. Perhaps a script when the palmos init or boot from linux directly. Is it possible?
* How much it take to boot linux? i think i will use Poky.
* I need to acquire from 3 serials ports. Now, I'm using usb to serial adapter. Is possible to use the Palm as usb host (using a self powered usb hub).
